In large part due to prod, this retains a tender slight amateur warmth, where you think damn I wish I could make this because it feels attainable for a local band debuting. Still, the quality is very much there. The clean parts are especially well crafted and get quite emotional, whilst the explosions are functional but imho never the highlight. I mean it's fairly standard prettycore post-rock, there's not much to say. It's not a landmark album, but equally I wish I could make something half as good as this. 3.55
