0.0 | breakingthefragile | November 3rd 12 | An ICP album with genuinely humorous tongue-in-cheek ideas than straight-up vulgar ones, and there's actually more than a handful of instances The Mighty Death Pop that put more care and concentration into the musical side of things rather than the ridiculous lyrics. It's surprising that profanity doesn't overwhelm the music here, and that's a major benefit, as it helps make the return to rap metal riffs and goofy carnival-esque beats more easy to appreciate. "Shooting Stars" has some clever word play - especially by Insane Clown Posse standards - to it's name when the meaning of the song is realized. This all makes for the Posse's most accessible record in years, not to mention one that actually has a good amount of fun and memorable tunes to back up its stupidity. As always, It's not music that is to be taken seriously, but this time around it feels like this is music that wasn't made with only their die-hard Juggalo fan base in mind, but instead music that makes it easy for outsiders to get into. The Freaky Tales edition of the album features a 60 minute long rap flow inspired by Too $hort's song of the same name that is quite the ambitious venture for ICP.

2.5 average | wiikendwarrior84 | August 19th 12 | While entertaining, silly, and full of funny "Tales" this goes on WAY too long. a 20 minute version would be long but this stretches the gimmick to a full hour. Not bad but if it was shorter it would earn a higher rating.
