Review Summary: A classic EP that will leave even the most stubborn of drone fans dumbfounded by its beauty.

Every once in a blue moon people come across something that completely changes them, something that they will never forget and will always hold dear to them. This is how I felt when I stumbled upon Saåad, an experimental drone duo from Toulouse, France. I had never really listened to any sort of drone music prior to Saåad, so my knowledge on the genre was somewhat limited. At first listen this EP just seemed like nothing but unnecessary noise and sounds (my lack of knowledge at the time speaking), but after repeated listens it became quite clear what all this noise was. The beauty portrayed in these songs is just unbelievable, from the eerie yet calming feeling of "Love Is A Rent" to the apocalyptic feel of "Back Pain/Pain Back" the songs never let up.
The most interesting part of this EP is the almost radio-wave like feeling it has. Each song carefully transitions into the next with such elegance (and in a corny kind of way the transitions are like radio-waves). The most important thing, though, is the sheer emotion each track brings out in the listener, more importantly the final track "Back Pain/Pain Back". I get nothing but goosebumps whenever this song starts up. The depressing yet apocalyptic feeling to it makes it such a unique and unforgettable track (the kind of track that you would listen to whilst staring at rain falling while sitting on your porch) and ultimately is the perfect way to end such an amazing EP.
Are there any problems with it though? It is quite short, sadly, but makes up for this with its atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of drone or atmospheric music in general, it will be well worth your time.

Pretty good first review, have a pos. A few major things - spaces in between paragraphs, try not to talk too much about personal experience, stay away from rhetorical questions, etc. - but otherwise welcome to the site, congratulations on a well-done first review, and I look forward to hearing more from you in the future!

Sputnik has a problem recognizing the "å", so the only way I could get these guys on Sputnik was to just replace it with a regular "a".
