The songs that are considered to be the good tracks on this are hard rockers like
Big Cannons, Won't Go Quietly, and
F#ck Off. Lets start with
Big Cannons shall we.
Big Cannons is a song that is heard often on radio stations in London Ontario (mainly FM96, for those from this area). It's a medium paced rocker with some beer bottles clanking around in the backround and is about partying, while
Won't Go Quietly is about getting arrested, and getting into trouble. Most of these hard rockers are either about partying, crime, or something like that. Rebellious.
Some songs, though, are quite slow and beautiful like
I'd Never Say and
The Lemming Song (hidden track about a bunch lemmings that all thought they could fly who all died from jumping off a cliff). These tend to be the funny songs, which are very enjoyable. Read the full lyrics from
I'd Never Say which clocks in at just 57 seconds:
"I told you that I loved you...that was just the booze talking...I'd never say a stupid thing like that. I told you that I want you...that was just my big stiff calling...I'd never say a stupid thing like that. I told you I respect you...that was just the drugs working...I'd never say a stupid thing like that."
Also check out some of the lyrics from
Rue The Day, which isn't a slow soft one, but is one of the funny ones:
"...she was a constant itch make me rich lying witch cheating b*tch trash tramp prick of a whore"
...and also from
Rue The Day:
"...he's quitting the band all for a suck d*** pussy pit piece of sh*t hissy fit fake tits slut of a whore"
F#ck Off being one of my personal favourites on the albums, because of the fact that it has the most swearing on the album. This song is one of the catchiest on
Two Fisted Twisted Rock 'N' Roll mainly because of the whistling over the guitar solo. Other honorable mentions include
Rock 'N' Roll, and
Stoned At Large. Both of these songs being exciting tunes about...well...good tunes, and getting stoned.
Stoned At Large is probably my second favourite song on the album (next to
Won't Go Quietly).
The only songs I didn't like were
Rock The Monster (which sounds like it's live, and is quite uninteresting to me) and
Again Again which is very
very poorly produced. The sound just isn't good at all. (intentional?).
Well there you have it. My re-written review for an album that almost noone on the site has ever heard of. Oh well. Check out their myspace.
