Review Summary: 'Vitne' really surprised me in a good way with this album, which was recommended to me by a friend. I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did, as I didn't realise that there are still bands out there who can compete with glam rock from the 80s. This b
The album 'Neon' by 'Vitne' starts off with an intro that leaves you wanting to listen to the whole album straight away as it is very inciting.
The first song 'Destroyer' shows us that the band is glam rock and has big guitar sounds with catchy vocals combined with a great 80s sound.
'Nasty Habit' is quite a happy song which reminds me a little of Van Halen and I love the harmonies which work very well with the synthesiser in the back ground.Â*
The vocalist has a very strong voice which is easily recognisable giving the band character.Â*
'Silhouette' is a romantic love song, I like the guitar effects in it. The lyrics are very original and the chorus is great.
'Royal Nights' is again more punky like 'Destroyer'. It reminds me of Punk Rock bands mixed with heavy metal guitars.Â*
'Lick You Up' has a great title and an even better guitar solo. The guitar work in general is really good. The chorus is very strong and easy to sing along to.Â*
'To The Sky' is another glam rock anthem, and this band shows their diversity in this album, each song has it's own feel and I am pleased to have not discovered a filler song yet!
'I'm Feeling Deadly' features another awesome guitar solo, which has a lot of complicated guitar techniques - the guitarist really displays his skills in this song. He is very talented. I love how the instruments work together in this band.
'Cruisin' ' is an easy going song which has to be heard driving down the road with the music up loud! Once again this song has a very easy to sing a long to chorus. This band has some serious song writing skills!
The final song of this album 'Rest in Peace' is a very sad song which features acoustic guitars and is very different from the rest of the album but it works very well as a closing song. This song actually gave me goosebumps.Â*
