Before the Waves is an enjoyable and energetic alt/electronic album. With fun and upbeat tracks around every turn, it's hard to not choose this album for a good summer jam. Caplow's voice matches each track's instrumentals perfectly. If given a chance, this has the potential to be a favorite for 2014. Definitely needs a few listens, but it will grow on you. Recommended tracks: Apollo, Paris, Catherine, Waves.
