This album is an embarrassment to the Stars name. The album, Set Yourself on Fire, had its good moments and its bad moments. But this is just shit. The new rearrangements dissolve in pretentiousness and egotism, which is quite the opposite of what Stars' music aims to convey. There are some saving tracks, but they are only listenable when one is in a very tolerable mood. This album could have been magnificent but a lack of imagination and too many attempts at being "different" destroyed the simple and beautiful qualities of the original songs that are essential to appreciating Stars. The only positive aspect of this album are that it garners greater appreciation for the original Stars songs (possibly the ultimate goal of the band?).
