3.5 great | dynamic range police | July 3rd 15 | The child born from The Seventh One and Mindfields, XIV is a pleasant listen for the old fan that wants a proof of Toto being still alive and quite kicking. I prefer the heavier road they took with Falling In Between, but this is still masterfully played -and it's nice to hear Williams again. Favorite tracks: "Running Out Of Time", "21st Century Blues", "Chinatown" and "Great Expectations", the proggier one. The classy bonus track "Bend" is also notable. The ballads bring this a bit down, but that's often part of the game with this band.
EDIT: It's a grower for sure, hard 3.5. Could have been more with another rocker in the middle.
