3.0 good | Robbit | May 20th 17 | NIGHTMARE AT MAPLE CROSS was a manic, energized effort that is much more in the spirit of their first two albums. It's certainly a return to form after the ill-fated experiment RUNNING WILD which meddled with their winning formula and band configuration. On this album, the band is once again a four piece with Kim McAuliffe handling lead vocals once again. The songs are catchy (namely "All Day All Night", a cover of Mud's "Tiger Feet" and a bashing "Turn It Up"), but not nearly as memorable as their earlier classics. Still, I'll give 'em points for effort here as the performances are aggressive and spirited. Good, almost great album.

2.5 average | Robert Davis | August 2nd 15 | A modest improvement over Running Wild, but like Play Dirty, still a very average album. The production is generally the one bad thing which drags this album's overall impression down for me, but there are some solid songs here-namely "Danger Sign" and "Back for More".
