3.6 great | DaveyBoy EMERITUS | July 1st 15 | Continuing on from where their maturer previous album 'Controller' left off, Melbourne rockers British India consolidate their new sound on 5th LP 'Nothing Touches Me'. Almost totally eschewing the youthful angst of yesteryear, the quartet are deceptively catchy here, but not superficially so. It's the instrumentation which does most of the grunt work, despite being far from innovative... There's always a hooky guitar riff here or a value-adding bass-line there. It's far from the album of 2015, but with barely any filler, 'Nothing Touches Me' is a great solid LP. Recommended Tracks: Suddenly, Wrong Direction, Nothing Touches Me & Blame It All on Me.
