3.0 good | Kingdok | November 10th 15 | Baby Chaos were such a defining band for me back in the 90s, so I desperately wanted this to be great. Unfortunately it displays little of the urgency, atitude, edge or indeed heaviness of their first two albums, instead often wandering straight down the middle of the road. Only Have Faith In Yourself and PPP Peaches display anything like their original style, and keep this album (only just) above average.
Gutted.

4.5 superb | PunctuatedEquilibria | October 24th 15 | There is exactly one weak spot on this album, and that's the first song. It's great the first few listens, but has zero staying power. The rest of the album, however, will stick in your head for weeks. Massive riffs (Faith in Yourself, Risk and Writhing, Habbibi) and equally massive choruses (Out of the Silence, A Tingling on your Bright Skin) are littered throughout this album, which maintains a high level of consistently inventive songwriting across all the tracks except the opener. Hugely recommended.
