The Sonic Dawn's debut album has a huge sound, one that does not blindly succumb to the much encountered lofi/vintage behests of retro rock. Moreover, the band's instrumental intellect allows for seamless olden rock genres' crossover from song to song, and quantum shifts between different time signatures ("An Easy Heart to Break"). Bearing the aforementioned in mind, the only takeaway from Perception is its overall mesmerizing demeanor, as the arrangements can be hardly characterized as memorable.
