Disregarding the fact that these Canadians are practically named after the Seattle power/thrash metal behemoths, Winter's Doom places them on the brink of possibly releasing an album of even greater merit in the future; The album sounds adequate overall (with the exception of vocals at places), but that something that will take things to the next level is missing; instrumentally, Sanktuary are slightly above average, whereas their attempts towards more convoluted song structures, deliver.
