0.0 | Arche | January 2nd 16 | Scottish prog-men Inceyte's debut isn't a bad start. The clean vocals, kinda reminiscent of Alice in Chains in parts, work well with the softer sections nicely, while the uncleans (when they are used) have an air of barbarism to them which aids the transitions from rock to metal. It's instrumentally good too, although the album does feel vaguely characterless - and this is its biggest problem. Everything is good, no question about that, but there's something annoyingly intangible which doesn't sit entirely right with me, particularly on tracks such as Persian Gravity. Anger Science part A+B is a blast though. . https://inceyte.bandcamp.com/album/simple-schematics
