3.0 good | cjbizzlebizzle | January 21st 16 | Ride Forth by Exmortus starts off with a bang delivering a neoclassical influenced blend of thrash and death metal but unfortunately the momentum is lost in the mid section of the album. Ride Forth is a good name, on one hand, for the record as the thrash riffs produce a great driving force for the entire experience with ripping technical solos placed throughout. The use of neoclassical leads all over the place placed alongside death vocals gives Exmortus a unique feel but the vocalist ends up being overbearing delivering the same vocal style in abundance during the 43 minute run. The song structures end up feeling all too familiar, repetitive and the blanket of vocals does not allow the epic moments an album like this would need. The flat production does not help in this cause. It lacks a certain freshness for a long time metal listener. Speed of the Strike, For The Horde, Appassionata and Fire and Ice keep the album from being average and are worth checking out for anyone looking for deathy thrash with a large glass of neoclassical guitar licks.

3.5 great | EcoChocolatacchi | June 3rd 16 | A short burst of tech trash wizardry. Its undoubted they've crafted a signature sound; a miracle in 2016. The drawback is the 38 minute duration is entirely that sound, with a strictly neo-classical instrumental as the only break. An absolutely worth contender for your money to see live.

3.2 good | Voivod STAFF | May 1st 16 | While Exmortus' approach over the so-called "neoclassical" end of thrash metal is inherently interesting, Ride Forth goes through the motions in terms of arrangements, whereas the sound production is not particularly helpful in the said respect. Favourite track: Let Us Roam.

3.5 great | ChaoticVortex | March 14th 16 | Usual business for Exmortus which means over the top, neoclassical thrash with viking themes, and ultra-wankery guitar solos. Unfortunately not as strong and hard hitting as their third album and doesn't even have a sense of identity like the first two thus making it their weakest so far. But it's still enjoyable.

3.5 great | BRAman22 | January 17th 16 | Individually each song is an entertaining display of modern technical thrash. However, none of them do enough to differentiate and stand out against the others.
