3.0 good | Jots EMERITUS | January 17th 16 | Piano-led jazz from Spain. Subtly paced and tender, with enough of an experimental component to keep things
interesting, but not so much as to lose sight of the evocativeness. Tracks like "Bosque adentro..." make it out to
be an electroacoustic wanderer. the song titles all end with the name of various poets (Yosa Buson, Jorge Luis
Borges etc), from whom Clara Lai seems to draw inspiration. many barebones piano-based compositions can
feel a bit sterile, but this is all done pretty tastefully. nothing mind-blowing, but nice.
