Three violin-only pieces. The first, "Apophthegms," is split into twelve very short segments; the second, "Passagen," is a fourteen minute solo work; and the third, "Ceremonial Magic," is a four-parter. There's lots of squawking and squealing, as is to be expected from a Zorn classical record, but it isn't particularly engaging. It's well-performed, but the pieces themselves are rather sparse and unremarkable.
