By infusing the groovy, fuzzy desert rock with some 70's influences mostly present during the faster, more upbeat songs, 1000Mods manages to spice up their formula just enough to not come off as repetitious or overfamiliar. Also they put a deeper focus of texture with a focus on bluesy clean guitar passages and well-timed tempo changes. The subtle build-up and Kyuss-like feel of the closing track "Into the Spell" is a major highlight.
