This is what you get when you unleash a free-jazz saxophonist on a psychedelic jam band. It sounds like a fight to the death. Peter Brötzmann’s saxophone wails like a wounded animal fighting for its life, while Black Bombaim is confident and crushing it. The album was recorded live in one take, and I’m not sure where they found the energy. I’m exhausted just listening to them play.
