60's lit fm, meets 60's psych pop, meets 70's plastic-soul, meets way too much production. Really interesting arrangements and some great vocal performances from Weyes Blood (the rue MVP of the record), but ends up paradoxically ends up sounding both overproduced and under developed. Interesting, weird little pop record that should be heard. And isn't a terrible album to leave on in the background. But ultimately nothing here is all that memorable.
