I like the weird, sort-of psychedelic musicianship and rough production here, they really make the songs as gritty as they are fluent. That said, I find the songwriting mostly repetitive here and wholly dependent on one singular main riff, which aren't that spectacular to begin with. Nonetheless, this album has some excellent moments, such as the notable melodic "Netherrealm" and that slightly disturbing opener "The Gifted Medium".
