This album is something else... Truth be told I was expecting something completely different from Emptiness (like many others I think) and at first I did not get this. I left it in the shelf and a few days later this melody was coming to my head all the time... It drove me crazy because I did not remember where was it coming from it until I casually listened to this again. The melody was from 'It Might Be' and the third spin was a musical revelation. There is somethoing very very special about this album aura, vibe, or whatever you want to call it. It grew so much on me it ended being my 2017 AOTY. Give this time guys, it's a masterpiece.

What genre even is this? I know, in general, it's black metal, but it's like several different bands played on this album as a compilation. The amount of genre-shifting made my head hurt. Basically, I like the band's originality in their sound, but wow this doesn't work as an album.

A bit more reliant on ambiance than Nothing But The Whole, yet not to the point where it becomes too big of a crutch. However, some of the mix is just plain odd, like on the second track where the guitars just ramp up their presence so much that it made me jump out of my seat. Despite some technical nitpicks, I really do like what the band is going with.
