Don't ask me why Hard Rock has the name it has, because this has nothing to do with it at all. Quite weirdly, it's a spoken word split between Michael Gira of Swans fame and Lydia Lunch, both of whom were important figures in the no wave scene. Gira's piece is entitled "I'm An Infant, I Worship Him", which also happens to be a short story from his book The Consumer. If you've ever read that book, you know how disgustingly screwed it is, but for those of you who haven't, Gira's piece here is ugly and uncompromising, though not necessarily a scenario you can see going down anywhere. Lunch's piece, "Wet Me On A Dead Night", is also ugly, but for entirely different reasons. You can easily see what happens in this piece happening in real life, as it's very much grounded, yet still unyielding. They're both miserable stories of lawlessness and pain, one very human, one almost alien in its depravity, and neither easy to just slap a rating on. (If you're a Swans fan, you'll find Gira's book The Consumer interesting at the very least, and find parallels between Swans' early work within it.)
