Ho99o9 decides to mix industrial with hip hop and punk, and while aesthetically it's a big yes, the genre-hopping approach and mega-scattershot songwriting make this one quite difficult to listen to in one sitting.

Ho99o9 is one of the best current live bands, but this album isn't that much interesting (too many clichés, not "consistent" enough). rBut there are still some good tracks: "Splash" deserves your attention!

While I wish they'd really hone in on their core sound a little bit, the scattershot approach to songwriting/genre-hopping does give the record quite a bit of variety, even if the lyrics come off as a little stock, or the atmosphere seems a bit tryhard at times.

Ho99o9 takes a much more political stance on this album compared to their earlier releases. The hip-hop influences (clipping, Death Grips, Zelooperz, Flatbush Zombies) take a back seat to the punk/hardcore influences here. I hear a lot of Black Flag, Bad Brains, and Cro-Mags on this album. Loving it.
