The Thermals are one of those bands that don't have to be over complex to be good. The songs are basically power chords with really deep bass and really chunky, high end guitars and a singer that has a mesmerizing voice. What keeps the album from being a 5 is that the songs are semi-repetitive and have been done before. But still, it was a superb album.
