unseemly reduction of ethos to the point of self-deprecation. although harle has always been one of the more
~poptimistic~ figures in the bbgumbass//pc music movement, 1ul comes across as a kind of
overblown//underwhelming parody of (him//it)self. it could be argued self-awareness, but such a take seems
incredulous... especially when all you can think while listening to 1ul is, "why the fuck does this sound like a
cheap broken flowers redux?"

for some reason I keep mentally associating this with udl... and no it's not because I crave those sickly, low abv
pre-mixers. rather. it's because 1ul is a kind of musical equivalent to the rather (in)famous underager's drink; a
kind of sickly sweet, hardly intoxicating, and ultimately unsatisfying concoction that comes in an oddly alluring-
yet-deceiving package.

pc music is dead.
