Review Summary: Maybe you don't even know 'em, but you should give 'em a try.
Another great album for Power/Neo-classical Metal fans.
And there are many factors that make Diabolica a ''must listen'' for the above mentioned type of fans.
First things first, Diabolica is full of melodies and riffs. Dushan Petrossi can guarantee for that. His guitar work here is excellent . Most songs have brilliant structure, are catchy and enjoyable. Even fillers, which are two in my opinion (in a summary of twelve tracks) have their own moments.
Diego Valdez, the vocalist, makes great job too. His voice is brilliant and he gives a very special tone with his singing. Diego's capability to sing every song with his own style, add up perfectly with Petrossi's musical compositions. Also, remarkable is his effort to bring his lyrics closely to Ronnie J. Dio sounding (March 666 is an obvious example).
The production is quite good, basslines can sound very clear and drumming is exactly what a power metal album needs; fast and with nice patterns here and there.
Recomended tracks are
1. I Don't Forget, I Don't Forgive
2. Galileo
3. March 666
4. Diabolica
5. Ararat, and last
6. Cursed in the Devil's Mill, arguably the best Iron Mask song
In conclusion, I'm not going to say boiler plates like underestimated band or essential release that every classic metal fan should look for.
Just push the play button and you'll be sure that your ears will not disappoint you.
