Sonically, this album sounds great. Guitar work is on point and fairly intricate for a chug-laden affair and has some noteworthy grooves. The vocals, unfortunately, leave a lot to be desired. The vocalist sounds like he's just eaten sandpaper before going into the studio. The cherry on top is that there is a distinct lack of variety in his presentation. Mid-to-low range screams are found throughout the entire album and by the end, they've grown slightly grating. The only exception to this would be on"In the Dark" where the vocalist does more of an empassioned yell that serves to break up the monotony. I found myself enjoying the instrumental songs/sections much more than the parts with vocals.
