To me, G-Eazy's music has always been more about the beats and hooks (typically not sung by him) than his rapping. That is still the case with The Beautiful & Damned, just look at the title track, Him & I and Eazy. However, his past songs still had some entertaining lyrics, ranging from obscure references to humorous sexual comments ("I bust in your face just to let you know I'm cumming"). This release, however, sees G change to making stacks and fucking bitches (without any wit). This, to me, is not a good fit, but it doesn't do enough to keep me from enjoying some of these songs, even if some songs may have in fact been better if G-Eazy wasn't even on them...
