Favorite track, is #10 "Somethingness"
This album is both brilliant, and hilarious. It never ceases to entertain me. I honestly found this album impossible to listen to at first, but it slowly grew on me. It took me even longer to fully decipher what he was saying; often he raps syllables so quickly that it's nearly incomprehensible at first.
I think it can be safely said, that you will never find another hip-hop album that sounds anything remotely near to this. It is truly an original creation. Busdriver has developed a style which really doesn't seem to imitate that of anyone else, and I think, in the hip-hop world especially, there is much to be said of such an accomplishment.
All in all, probably not an album for everyone, but: if your willing to hear it, then open your ears to this intelligent and incomparable MC with unabashed personality, a funny voice, a ridiculous sense of humor, and a tongue that can run marathons. All you have to do is ride the bus.

An unchallenged rapper, he's got heaps going and his machine-gun verses are pounding yet intelligent.

The debut album of the exceptionally talented rapper Busdriver, Temporary Forever is a wacky, sometimes ridiculous album that is not only unique, but is very far away from most rap albums out there, including the world of underground rap. Though despite this, Busdriver still managed to achieve a bit of popularity in the underground world, mostly due to the album's obvious highlight "Imaginary Places" being featured in a Tony Hawk video game. Busdriver's most notable talent is the ability to rap at almost impossibly fast speeds (as heard on "Imaginary Places). Unfortunately this talent is rarely displayed again throughout the rest of the album, yet, would seem to lose its charm if it were used too often anyway. Fast or not, the rest of the songs are consistently good but usually don't get too much better than that, aside for some standout shining moments (Gun Control, Along Came A Biter, The Truth of Spontaneous Human Combustion). Definitely worth a listen

Sounds like he's trying to be the hip hop Captain Beefhart here and idk it just doesn't work for me. A lot of cool flute driven instrumentals (which sound way different from the ones seemingly everyone uses today), some real witty and "'~intelligent~'" lyricism that may or may not mean anything at all, but Busdriver raps in like the most obnoxious and annoying way possible and I just can't stand him on this album, which is ironic cause I fucking love anything Danny Brown touches. - NANANANA NAH NAH/5
