4.0 excellent | VelvetAndroid | November 2nd 10 | Can't fault the songs from what is possibly the strongest DM album, even if the exercise in releasing a live facsimile in track order is a little on the pointless side! Many are extended in interesting ways though, and the backing singers really get to shine.

2.0 poor | Kaleid | July 24th 08 | What's the point? Money, dosh, moolah, dinero. That's the point. SOFAD is one of the Mode's best albums to date, but capturing it from various live performances and slapping it on a CD is nothing but a lesson in corporate aggrandisement. After all, the Devotional tour that this is from used only a minimum of live instruments - the guitar and occasional drums are eclipsed by the backing tapes. DM were still primarily Mooging away at this time. '101' is a different story, because it was the zenith of their stadium career. 'Songs Of Faith And Devotion Live' is a harmless-yet-bland cash-in, and nothing more.
