4.0 excellent | Robinanimate | December 11th 18 | So Dragonlord might be downright plagiarising 90's symphonic black metal , but they do it with such conviction that it is
close to as good as the real thing. Not often do I hear bands that are able to capture the black metal sound of the 90's as
well as these guys. This is definitely not anything new under the black sun, but it is a hella fun hurdle down memory lane.
Think early Dimmu Borgir meets Cradle of Filth meets Old Man's Child, with a hint of Testament riffage. A pretty decent
brew indeed.

2.9 good | Voivod STAFF | September 25th 18 | Eric Peterson and Co. are indulging themselves and their prospective audience with what sounds like the proverbial rendition of a virtual Emperor/Cradle of Filth amalgam, with great musicianship and somewhat elaborate arrangements, but no standout moments whatsoever. What's surprisingly less, is the exorbitantly compressed sound work, which further inhibits the appreciation of the album for what it really is.
