Holy hell, little did I know that I was going to be in for a treat when I listened to this. Seeing as I was in love with Threnody and Kingdom Of Might, I thought that perhaps the band's first effort, Behold the Lion, might be average (surely it would be impossible for the band to be out 3 amazing albums). But once I got listening, I felt as if these songs simply stood out from the usual death metal tracks I've been hearing; the entire album combined groove, aggression, and melody all into one amazing sounding package which was exactly what I look for in death metal. And to make matters better, each song was flared with a bit of southern sizzle, especially in the leads and solos.
