Pop/trap albums are the best when the personality of the artists bleeds into the music. That is in full effect here especially with the R&B aspects of Ghetto Lenny's Love Songs that comes packed with bangers and good melodies in the singing, catchy hooks and beyond competent rap bars. Has a great mix of high energy/uptempo tracks (5 Thousand Singles, All I Want is a Yacht, Trap) and more chill vibe songs (Borders, Who Do You Blame). A bit on the long side and maybe 2 tracks could be trimmed off but for every average song there are 2-3 good to excellent ones. Easy to replay and get addicted to thanks to the dynamic mix of styles here.

This project is full of extremely catchy melodies & beats. His voice isn't perfect, but it is unique. It has it's share of filler & it's not perfect by any means, but I do find this to be one of the most enjoyable & beautiful "pop trap / melodic trap" albums out there.

Ghetto Lenny's Love Songs is solid and particular, even if I am very slightly "disappointed" because maybe I expected a lot more. It should be remembered that it only took about 1 year to do this one while the previous one contains tracks from 2015. In the end, after several listening, I realized that there were more subtleties than before. In his place, I would take more time for the next project, I would investigate more topics, I would take more risks. Then I totally understand that he wanted to surf the wave of his recent success, but there is really an axis where the universe and style of JHN can be explored even more.
