The Line Up:
John Connelly – vocals/guitar
Anthony Bramante – guitar
Danny Lilker – bass
Glenn Evans – drums
Game Over
The song is instrumental with lot of triplet riffs, starts with bass and later the rest of the band kicks in. In the end Connelly says: Yo, got another quarter?!, very funny though. The song is like background music to a cash-based video game or a jukebox and suddenly stops. Funny theme but the track itself is flat. 4/5
Nightmares
Starts with guitarriffs and dubblebass drums, good verse and chorus. The song is fast but also this track seems a little flat and it is not catchy, but it has a good guitarsolo section. The song is about nightmares that haunts you in the nights. 3/5
Butt F***
Starts with slow and heavy riffs, the pase get faster and faster. The chorus is horrible but the band does something odd here, they start to play blues! And it sounds groovy and very good though. Connelly sings about what poeple would think when they play blues on a thrash album and he says that they are musicians and they can do anything they want to. The rest of the lyrics I can’t understand but this song has humor and the blues part sounds very good for a thrash metal band. 5/5
Justice
This songs contains fast instruments and other stuff that is typical to Nuclear Assault. The song is about justice and all pros and cons that has justice to do. The solo part is very good but is short. 3/5
The Plague
Starts with a melodic acoustic guitarpart which is later followed by the bass and drums. The song is slow and has a good chorus. The solos is to fast for the song and it sounds bad, if the solo has been slower it had sounded better. The song is about the plague and nothing can survive it. The song has a tradgic feeling to it but it is one of the best songs of the album. 4.5/5
Cross of Iron
Fast, intensive guitars, bass and drums. One of NA’s unique style of playing music, the song has a very intensive tempo but it has a small slow part before the song ends. 2.5/5
This is the bands only EP but it is pretty good material for those who like fast thrash metal. The album has a touch of humor thanks to Game Over and Butt F***. To bad it has so few songs but it is still good. Final rating: 4/5
