Prophecy Productions keep putting out unique releases this year, and Eye of Nix's latest another one. Alluring vocals and really adventurous songwriting coupled with one of the cleanest albeit vicious rhythm sections I've heard in a black metal-related release all year, and yet the album still takes a few listens to truly get your head around. In a way it reminds me of what The Third and the Mortal were doing in the mid-90s but with more menace and heaviness to boot.

An interesting blend of genres that feels fresh and also appropriately artsy. I don't really care for a lot of the songwriting, but it's a solid album overall.
