3.0 good | Assemblage | October 19th 21 | Okay, this isn't as bad as it sounds, really. But uhm, it kind of f*cks with any attempt at rating. Like, on the surface there's stuff that comes off straight as a 2, or worse, but then that's only if you dissect it from it's context. This is just slow dm riffs played over tincan drums, all instrumental mind you, and to be honest the whole thing just feels slowed down by 25%. The drums I'm just gonna say, never sound like they are in time but whatever. If you have this playing on in the background, it's gonna come off sounding better than when giving any cognitive attention to it. It's like a single one-channel guitar over semi-random but not ever fast drums and harmonica sounding solos every now and then, and with a slightly better audio recording than from a garage. Like I said, it's better listening when you're occupied and not paying full attention to it. The musicianship I can't really comment on because I can't play shit but it does come off as being relatively simple. With that said, it's still kind of cool because it is rather non-intrusive background noise you can have on doing whatever. For that, I will rate it on my overall enjoyability without too much critical appeal forming the senses. I find a 3 to be fair. And like I said, it's *not* terrible if under the right circumstances. But for sure, some people will hate this.
