3.0 good | XSebbyMcMuffinX | May 31st 22 | Bad mastering and some ineffective production choices makes a potentially successful experiment fall flat. Goldlink puts distortion on all of his own vocals (which lacks bass in the EQ, leaving it sounding thin), which makes it sound even trashier when you hear a feature with clean sound quality come in right next to it. Shame that this didn't go all the way to hit the mark because the ideas throughout the album are legit really solid and this could be a significant variation in his style, having a bit more abrasiveness kind of relative to rock music without crossing the genre line. Hopefully the sound issues aren't prevalent on his next release, as I really want to see where he's going.
