2.5 average | terriblekonrad | July 1st 23 | Starting and ending with huge bop's and the rest is the melancholy boring crap for depressed teenagers these days, big disappointment. Still first and second albums are worth revisiting.

2.5 average | Sowing STAFF | June 30th 23 | Ditching the guitars is not what I wanted from these guys. The end of Pop the Balloon is still pretty cool I guess.

2.5 average | cageofman | July 17th 23 | Disappointed overall, I really loved their first two albums. There?s just too many songs on here that are just so take it or leave it. I like welcome to DCC, overcome, do you love me yet, foreign language - maybe members only and pop balloon but the rest are so meh for me. rAlso two albums now euth real mediocre album covers

3.5 great | ajcollins15 | July 6th 23 | I will be the first to say the mid-2000s hype for this band was so overblown. I remember working at my college radio station playing at least two or three singles from their debut self-titled as well as 2017?s ?Broken Machine? per hour. Their brand of alternative rock always felt forced and bland. On the band?s fourth album, they continue their alternative rock style that many indie radio stations would be happy to play. From new wave jams of ?Welcome to DCC?, the indie pop anthem of ?Overcome? and ?Tomorrow is Closed?, and even some hard rock influences on later tracks. As I have grown older, I can maybe appreciate this style more and this is overall a fun and easy listening experience with some really memorable highs. But the lows on here are extremely low making it a rough outing by the end. Overall, a really solid fourth album from the long-standing alternative rock band.

2.5 average | Asura14 | July 6th 23 | There are so decent tracks here, opener is specially good and pop the balloon is interesting, despite sounding like Daft Punk's Robot Rock?? lol.
Regardless, this is a disappointment, I hope this album is just some synth pop experimentation, they definitely have a lot of talent and can return to the quality Broken Machine

4.0 excellent | syco722 | July 6th 23 | Yep this fucking rules, unsurprised. Very different direction for them but they pull it off
smoothly
Gonna need an entire album like Pop the Balloon next, thanks

2.5 average | MunsuLight | July 5th 23 | An extremely boring album by an overrated band (yes even the 2 first albums) although they still are able to write some bangers from time to time. Going for this sound was certainly a mistake . They were always a hit and a miss for me. Pop the Balloon is one of the few highlight there

3.0 good | NBA | July 5th 23 | although the 80's bandwagon did seem like a natural direction for these dudes to explore, it's not surprising this was largely a swing and a miss.

4.0 excellent | Sly4evr | June 30th 23 | I dig the shift to 80?s synth pop and sometimes psychedelic rock, a territory they did rather well on, but nothing extravagant or heavy like they did on Moral Panic, Conor Mason?s vocals took a bit of a backseat, nothing terrible hell no not with this guy, just sometimes reserved. Great performances on this songs, Welcome To The DCC, City Haunts, Overcome, Do You Love Me Yet?, Foreign Language, and especially the closer Pop The Balloon, fantastic. Album?s good for what it provided, definitely give it a listen.
