3.5 great | Gene Gol CONTRIBUTOR | October 17th 24 | The sludge influence definitely worked wonders for this album as its slimy and oozing liquidity sounds nearly like a gargle. Its several drone/field recording interludes also contribute greatly to that atmosphere (although I personally skipped then on relistens). However, the actual meat of the album, the blasting nasty black and death metal writing, can get just the tiny bit too repetitive and indistinguishable.
