The album is lacking structure and vision. Some songs do work great, but that's about it. If Dave wasn't the frontman of DM, I wouldn't have known about this one at all.

So could this album be proof that Dave Gahan is nothing without his two band mates from Depeche Mode. This entire albums lacks the sensuality that DM brought and sounds like some radio-friendly rock album. Don't let this debut get you down though, his second release Hourglass is a large improvement.
