3.0 good | Gene Gol CONTRIBUTOR | June 12th 24 | Shabaka's first absolutely solo album (with a handful of welcome features) is as loose a project as ever was from him, mostly airily moodying through without a worry or a need of one. The flute-heavy compositions reminisce of Andre 3000's latest project, while the occasional moments of instrumental swell keep the album from totally embracing formlessness and ethereality, keeping things nicely grounded if only for a little while.

3.4 great | Erwann S. STAFF | April 15th 24 | Shabaka further dives into spirituality with this new agey poetry-led mellowness. Lush and calm.
