3.5 great | The Cylindrigma | December 18th 24 | Technically this is a collab with Galen Tipton... ah well, no going back now. Very fun album.
Still doesn't come close to the genius of 2017's Heavy Black Heart... that one might've been a
flash in the pan, I guess. I do prefer this one to some of their other more recent ones
though, so that's something. I could def see coming back to this when I'm in this kind of mood.

3.5 great | cjbizzlebizzle | October 4th 24 | Intense, complex and almost mechanical sounding at times, this record rarely lets up once it gets going. The production is excellent, everything sounds very nice from the percussion, to the samples to the electronics. Personally the relative lack of vocal samples and the repetitive, breakneck speed to some of the tracks beats makes it a bit harder to latch onto than previous dds records. Favorite moments are the build in 'Crypto Resort Grift' with the ever climbing in pitch vocals, the textures on 'No Dream Smoke Tip' and all of 'Generate Utopia'.

3.0 good | Erwann S. STAFF | August 25th 24 | Internet wunderkinds deliver yet another indie gem that is as annoying as it is catchy - nuance and finesse were never a strength of them, in the contrary of eclectism and complexity. Here, the melange of jersey "bed-cracking rhythms" works quite well with vapor vocals and a manic deconstructed club bangingness.
