#RICHAXXHAITIAN comes with quite the reputation but has a hard time living up to the hype. Some really nice moments of production and non-standard beats but it also feels like there isn't really a signature track or moment here and overall the record feels a bit timid/mellow. 'Sur le pont d'Avignon (Reparation #1)' is a high point but much of the flows and rapping on the record comes off as repetitive. Also must mention Your Old Droog's awful guest verse, woof.

Mach-Hommy's latest record once again displays his tastefulness: drumless/lite beats are nicely accompanied by hypnotizing abstract layers, and most feats add a welcome pace of change within each tracks - especially the apparition of Daddy Marci without whom that whole drumless scene would be nothing. Gotta say that style shines more on shorter formats though.
