Myles Kennedy is one of the most reliable sources of qualitative rock, either this is through Alter Bridge, his collaboration with Slash and the Conspirators or his solo career. In his first two albums, Kennedy tried to follow a lighter approach, an alternative sound to the one that the seven albums with Alter Bridge had. However, in this third release, he set himself loose and does what he knows best. The Art of Letting Go is full of tracks that could have easily ended up in an AB release. It contains the usual skyscraping vocals, many colossal choruses and some thunderous riffs. Myles Kennedy is at the top of his game right now. Recommendations: "How The Story Ends", "Mr. Downside", "Eternal Lullaby", "Nothing More to Gain"r

The best moments here are definitely the more striped down moments, where Myles voice and guitar play really shine and are at the forefront of the tracks. On the other hand, Myles seems to go into Alter Bridge territory a little too much and those are the moments where this loses me a little.

I haven't fully set on a score for this but it was an overall better experience then the previous album but lacks the impact of the first

I hate to say it, but I can't listen to myles voice anymore. He sounds more and more like a bird the older he gets and I'm not really a fan of it anymore. Instrumentally though it's pretty solid.
