During his 25+ year career Steven Wilson has rarely, if ever, been a true genius, but he has always been an exception-al student, learning about musical styles of the past and then replaying them with an incredible ease. I.E.M.'s debut is no exception: it's as "krautrockish" as krautrock can be, with no bad notes and no new ideas either; lots of fun for fans of the genre nonetheless.
