In the absolute, a pretty dece post-rock record that's well constructed but is also not world-shattering. As a debut EP, it is very strong however and in keeping with quality that was to come from TER. There are a couple prod issues but not many and not too disrputive. 1 has a fairly standard crescendo with a nice elusive guitar building into a more explosive apex, although the keys bring an element of surprise. 2 gets quite intense and emotional with the additions of strings. Neither track has the grandeur of their longer pieces, but they're not bad tracks and could find their place on a post rock playlist. 3.7
