why does this not have more ratings? this band was the shit. their other lp was almost as good as this, and their split with transistor transistor was one of the best emo showings on a split ep ever

Wolves was another screamo/post-hardcore band formed with former members of Orchid and co-members of Ampere, and if you're at all familiar with that whole scene, you know that most if not all of these bands were at the very least solid. Wolves isn't any different, featuring Brad Wallace of Orchid and Bucket Full Of Teeth fame as well as Andy Skelly of Ampere. Art. Culture. Work. was their only solo LP, and though the production can be a bit flat, the songwriting here is very good. There's an emphasis on guitar riffs here that helps things pack a nice punch against the relatively flat drums, as well as ambient, sometimes spoken word interludes that act as nice segues in between the main songs. The interlude leading into the addictive closer "4" is a nice example of this one-two punch. Gotta love it.
