5.0 classic | MentalVortex | January 12th 20 | Without doubt one of the greatest hardcore releases ever. Not as raw as previous releases but by todays
standards the production is brutally abrasive. After this release the original drummer left and the vocals changed,
Terveet Kadet would never be the same. This is the last totally essential record that Terveet Kadet made.
Musically it’s still very simple and raw, there is an untameable nihilism and power that is almost impossible to
capture and that makes the sound of this record quite unique. The guitars, bass and drums play mid paced
hardcore punk, it is most certainly sitting on the punk side of the fence, there is no metal core bullshit here. The
vocals on the other hand are extreme and sit almost in black metal territory, this coupled with the art work which
consists of an amateurish logo on a black background with some BDSM fetishist hanging up side down with a
burning candle inserted into his asshole! In 1982 I'm sure this was quite a statement! The band name translates
as Healthy Hands and the title of the record translates as Infinite Christmas, WTF......... I have no idea what was
going on in Northern Finland in the early 80’s but whatever it was these crazy Finns produced this aggravated
anti masterpiece of pure angst and desperation that few bands will ever match. Essential for anyone into
Hardcore.
