Review Summary: The Award Tour gets an award.
So, Mike G, Vince and SPEAK! dropped a mix tape together, first off, the cover's pretty cool, I mean it just says MIKE G in big letters in the middle with AWARD TOUR EP on the bottom. I think it should've had Vince's name on it along with SPEAK!'s because it was more of a group release then just a release of Mike. Anyways, the cover's cool. I personally like my music to have meaningful covers; I can't really find one for this one, but it's still nice. On to the tracks, every track to me is really depressing except for Chanel by Mike G, Moracular World by Mike G and Vince Staples and Michael Douglas by Vince Staples and SPEAK!.
There's no doubt that this album has some real deep intellectual meanings. A lot of depressing thought sparking lines like, "Life's a game of love and war, and everyone's a causality." My favorite song on the EP is Moracular World, I love the chorus.
"I'd rather it'd be stick up than stand down, I ain't tryna go from hands up to hands out. Funny how I went from stand up to stand out; 'cause everything I was made me what I am now."
This review was lame, I just wanted to throw what I thought about the EP out there. It was great. 3.5/5.
